We started ballooning in 1984. Our first flight
was right here in Rehoboth.
Training began shortly after in California with
Deke Sonnichsen.
Our first balloon was purchased in 1985.
Joe trained in Albuqueque.
We became commercial pilots together in
upstate New York in 1986.
Young Joe, who never let a flight go without
him, was commercially rated in California in
1999.
We started Balloon Fantasies of Rehoboth in
1986 and have had many memorable flights
with family, friends and customers.
Over the years we have had many crew
members. Our first crew chief was Joe's
Mom who was certified to fly at age 65.
Presently our crew consists of Danny, Amy
& Paul,Cheryl & Bob and Line & Andy
